My name is Justin Stoner. I was born and raised in Visalia, CA - the government seat of Tulare County.
I am a freelance writer who loves discovering things no one, or few others, know about. As a former journalist I am accustomed to digging through databases, obscure documents and government resources in the mind-numbing pursuit of finding something unique and interesting to write about.
The blog you are reading now represents more than a year's worth of research. I learned an effective way of researching patents that helped me narrow my results down to individual cities. With this new tool I began systematically researching every community in the county and documenting my findings in a detailed database.
Then, the question hit me: Now what?
Well, the next logical step was to share all of the interesting gems that I had found. For now, that means a blog that I update from time to time with my findings - a little at a time. Ultimately, I would like to reproduce my research and the stories I discover along the way in a book form.
